The short version
30 days from delivery. Unused, in its original packaging. Full refund to the payment method you paid with. No restocking fee.
If something arrived damaged, faulty or simply is not what you ordered, we pay the return shipping too. The detail below matters, but that is the shape of it.
What can be returned
Eligible: any item in original, unused, resalable condition, with all original packaging, protective wrap, tags and included accessories, returned within 30 calendar days of delivery.
Not eligible:
- Candles that have been lit or burned — a wax fire risk we will not take responsibility for.
- Textiles that have been washed, used or laundered. Unfolding and inspecting one is fine.
- Cookware or tableware that has been used to cook, serve or heat food.
- Items returned without their original packaging, or damaged through use rather than transit.
- Items marked "final sale" on their product page at the time you bought them.
- Anything returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Unpacking and inspecting an item to decide whether to keep it is always fine, and never voids a return.
How to start a return
- Email Maisonaureviallc@outlook.com with the subject "Return" within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number and which items you are returning. Photographs help if the item is damaged.
- We reply within one business day with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and the return address. Please do not ship anything back before you have an RMA — unannounced returns can be lost or refused.
- Repack the item in its original packaging inside an outer shipping box, and write the RMA number on the outside.
- Send it with a tracked service and email us the tracking number.
You may also call (828) 998-4813 during Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Eastern and we will set the return up on the phone.
Who pays return shipping
| Reason for return | Return shipping |
|---|---|
| Arrived damaged, faulty, or the wrong item | We pay. We email you a prepaid label. |
| Changed your mind, or it does not suit the room | A flat $7.95 USD is deducted from your refund, or you may use your own tracked service. |
| Refused or undeliverable through an incorrect address you supplied | Actual return carrier cost is deducted from the refund. |
Until a return reaches us, it is your responsibility. Please use a tracked service — we cannot refund an item that never arrives and cannot be traced.
Refunds
We inspect returns on the day they arrive. Once approved:
- We issue the refund within 2 business days.
- The refund goes to the original payment method — the same card or wallet you paid with. Stripe and Square do not permit refunds to a different destination, so please do not ask us to send it elsewhere.
- Your bank then takes a further 5–10 business days to post it to your statement. That part is out of our hands.
- We refund the item price and its sales tax in full. Original shipping is refunded only where the return was our fault, or where you are returning the entire order within 30 days.
- You will get an email confirming the refund amount and the date we issued it.
Partial refunds
Where an item comes back with obvious use, missing parts or missing original packaging, we may refund part of the price rather than all of it. We will always email you with the proposed amount and our reasoning first, and you can ask for the item back instead at your cost.
Exchanges
We do not process direct exchanges, because it is slower for you. Return the item for a refund and place a new order for what you actually want — that way you get the new item straight away instead of waiting for the return to land. If an exchange is genuinely simpler (a different colourway of the same product, say), email us and we will arrange it manually.
Faulty goods and statutory rights
If an item develops a fault through a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear, contact us with your order number and photographs, even after the 30-day window. We will repair, replace or refund at our discretion, and we do not charge you to do so.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under U.S. federal or North Carolina state law.
