Our commitment
Maison Aurevia LLC wants everyone to be able to browse and buy from this site, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or voice control.
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We are a small team and we will not claim perfection, but we treat an accessibility barrier as a bug and we fix it.
What we have built in
- Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element and a "skip to main content" link.
- Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 against its background; large text and interface elements meet 3:1.
- All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have permanent visible labels — never placeholder-only — with errors announced and shown next to the field they belong to.
- Headings follow a logical order, and landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) are marked up so a screen reader can jump between them.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels with clear spacing between them.
- The layout reflows to a single column without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content.
- Motion respects the operating system's reduce motion setting. Nothing flashes.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
Known limitations
We report these rather than hide them:
- The card entry fields at checkout are supplied by Stripe and Square and are outside our direct control. Both vendors maintain their own accessibility conformance; if you hit a barrier there, tell us and we will take your order by telephone instead.
- Product photography does not yet have extended long descriptions. Every product page carries the full written specification, which contains the same information in text.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site stops you doing something, we want to know. Email Maisonaureviallc@outlook.com with the subject "Accessibility", or call (828) 998-4813 during Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Eastern. Please tell us the page and what happened.
We acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and aim to fix confirmed barriers within 30 days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you why and offer another way to complete what you were trying to do — including placing your order by phone with a person.
