Our story

We started with a shelf of things that broke.

Maison Aurevia began the way a lot of small companies do — with frustration. Plates that chipped in a month. Towels that went stiff after four washes. A lamp with no dimmer, which is somehow still a thing people sell. We wanted a short list of household goods that were honestly described and built to be used, not photographed once and replaced in a year.

So we made the list short on purpose. Ten products today. Each one is chosen because we could stand behind the material, the manufacturer and the price. When we cannot get a straight answer from a supplier about what something is made of, we do not stock it.

How we work

We buy from established manufacturers in Portugal, France, Italy, Turkey, Vietnam and the United States, and we say on every product page which country it came from. We hold our own stock in Asheville, North Carolina, and pack every order ourselves — that is why orders go out in one to two business days rather than two weeks.

We publish the full specification for everything we sell: material, finish, exact dimensions in both inches and centimetres, capacity, weight, care instructions and country of origin. If a detail you need is missing, email us and we will measure it and add it to the page.

What we will not do

• We do not run fake countdown timers or invented "was" prices. A struck-through price on this site is a price the item genuinely sold at.
• We do not publish reviews. We would rather you judge the specification than a rating we cannot prove is real.
• We do not add you to a mailing list because you started a checkout. Consent is asked for separately, and it is a real opt-in.
• We do not sell, rent or trade customer data. Ever. Our Privacy Policy says so in plain words.
